Forged by the bonds of friendship and a strong commitment to deliver impeccable cuisine and service, the Les Amis Group celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. Since the inception of its flagship restaurant Les Amis on 15 March 1994, the Group has continued to evolve while striving to maintain its philosophy – a passion and dedication for excellence in everything it does.

Today the group has expanded to 21 concepts and 29 outlets in Singapore (as of June 2019), and continues to grow its presence in the local and regional food and beverage scene. The Group will be introducing four new concepts in Singapore that guests can look forward to in great anticipation.

Recognising its success today is owed to the hard work and determination of its people, the Group continues to focus on investing and nurturing its talent; giving them a platform to learn, develop and shine. Two of the Group’s new concepts will be helmed by young chefs under 30 years old while the other two concepts showcase two existing Les Amis Group chefs looking to branch out.

COMING FULL CIRCLE – THE BIRTH OF YUJIN IZAKAYA

True to the Group’s promise – “for friends by friends”, Yujin Izakaya is the Les Amis Group’s first new concept to open this year on 15 March 2019. The izakaya is helmed by husband-and-wife team Freddie Lee and Purdey Poon who were part of the Les Amis opening team in 1994.

Tucked away at Zion Road, Yujin Izakaya is a fun and vibrant space for all to unwind. Spotting an industrial-chic look, the unassuming modern 50-seater izakaya features a bar that opens to a five-foot way and main street, beckoning with the glow of display fridges that showcase an enticing range of sake. Guests can expect to be greeted by a space humming with positive energy and take in the action through the black and copper open kitchen where chef-owner Freddie Lee fires up a curated repertoire of creative bites.

Highlights include a delightfully refreshing cold starter of Nama Yasai ($7), hot appetisers of Truffle Chawanmushi ($12) and Katsu Sando ($16), and succulent grilled meat items such as Gyutan (ox tongue, $12) and the handmade Tsukune meatball ($6) that’s definitely not to be missed.

A 25th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL

This year marks a tremendous milestone, as Les Amis celebrates their 25th Anniversary. To commemorate this special occasion, the team has prepared a lovely menu which features the season’s finest ingredients skilfully transformed into beautiful creations prepared by Executive Chef Sebastien Lepinoy and his team.

Signatures on the menu include their Gelée D’Asperge Blanche Au Caviar (golden osteria caviar in harmony with delicate asparagus jelly & coulis) and Le Bouef Japonais (Omi beef with pomme soufflé and chef’s interpretation of a béarnaise sauce) to name a few.

Priced at S$250++, the menu includes a glass of 2004 Bruno Paillard Brut Assemblage champagne, with compliments from Les Amis. The menu will be available from 15 March to 31 March 2019.

A TART FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION

In celebration of the Les Amis Group’s 25th Anniversary, and inspired by Les Amis’ original logo which features a Kumquat Tree, pastry chef Cheryl Koh has created a beautiful Kumquat Tart. The commemorative 12cm tart, made with a zesty citrus curd, retails at $25 and will be made available from 15 March to 31 March 2019. Advanced reservations are required.
